Dennis Ray Jackson, a 38-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, April 30, 1992, in Watts. Jackson and Anthony Taylor, 31, both longtime residents of Watts, had been drinking beer in a parking lot adjacent to the Nickerson Gardens housing project when they were caught in a firefight between police and an alleged sniper.
